Sinkhole Repair
- Sinkhole repair can involve any of the Underpinning or Grouting options and sometimes even a combination of both. The type of sinkhole repair is determined by a geotechnical engineer who performs a GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) scan and/or Soil Density Test and then decides the most effective course of action to achieve optimal results. A.P.T. then does the necessary service according to the required specifications laid out by the engineer.

Underpinning
- Underpinning (pictured to the left) is designed to properly and permanently stabilize the structure on your property. A bracket is attached to the foundation and / or slab at four to six feet intervals around the perimeter of the structure as recommended. A three inch steel pipe (underpin / pier) is then either hydraulically pushed or drilled through the bracket and is advanced down to limestone or an equal load-bearing strata as recommended.
The underpin is then pumped with grout and pinned / sealed off. All this takes place within a three foot by three foot work arean in each underpin location. Your structure is now on underground pilings / piers. ALL UNDERPIN WORK IS WARRANTIED FOR LIFE AND IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE.

Slurry & Compaction Grouting
- Slurry Grouting, also known as Cement Grouting, is the intrusion under pressure of flowable particulate grouts into open cracks and voids and expanded fractures.
- Compaction grouting is used to seal any breaches in the limestone and stabilize the soils below your property. This procedure requires the injection of a grout mixture containing sand, cement and fly ash under high pressure to compact and displace soils. This is the most commonly recommended repair method for addressing and stabilizing the deeper soils beneath your property.

Pressure & Chemical Grouting
Pressure grouting is an economical means to remediate existing and potential geological and foundation support problems, without causing major diesruption to structures. The pressure grouting process consists of the direct pressure infiction of a liquified grout (microfine cement) into voids, cracks, fractures, cavities, or even between a bearing media and a structure, foundation curtain, chemical, microfine cement, slurry, or any other permeation application used to install a cement grout or low-mobility material.
The pressure method requires that the media gels or solidifies within or around the treated areas: soil, pipes, cracks, fractures, conduits, or holes. The main purposes of the permeation grouting are to improve support, strength, and function of a given media, element. or substance, i.e., concrete walls, pipes, blocks, gravel, cement columns, or soils.
These permeation techniques have more applications than just sealing and can also be used to lift structures such as: floors, walls, buildings, bridges, columns, highways, parking lot pavement, towers, and more.
-
Chemical grout is designed for stabilization and densification of loose base and sub-soils within the critical first ten feet below your property. We will inject a polyurethane material to depths no greater than ten feet below the surface of your property. Please inquire for more information and the importance of this state-of-the-art procedure.

Pre-Construction Piers
- Pre-Construction Piers are installed as part of the building process where questionable soils may not be sufficient to carry the load of the structure using traditional cement foundation

Pool Deck & Sea-Wall Stabilization
- Pool Decks from time to time begin settling or sinkhole activity will cause them to begin to sink. We use Grout and/or Pressure Piers to level out the pool deck and minimize the possibility of continued damage.
- Sea Walls take some of the most abuse, from the weather and nature's forces, out of the entire property. They see rising and falling water levels that once in a while cause foundational damage to the wall itself and cause the need for sea wall repair.

Home Repair
- As a full service company we are able to do major and minor home repair both for block and concrete construction. Damage is often caused by the settling or sinkhole activity which can cause cracks or other damage to the home itself. We at A.P.T. fix this damage so that the home owner can rest assured with peace of mind.

Wood Frame Specialization
- Wood framed houses are a special service in that some of our competitors do not attempt to level wood frame houses. We on the other hand will help with all of your foundation repair needs regardless of the type of construction in which your home is made, even wood frame.
